Dan Cox and Jessica Ren have claimed singles titles at the AEGON British Tour in Corby over the weekend.

In the men’s event, the top two seeds Dan Cox and Andrew Fitzpatrick played each other in the final after winning through four rounds in the singles.

No.1 seed Cox claimed the winner’s trophy after Andrew Fitzpatrick retired with the top seed leading 7-6(3), 1-0. On his way to the final, Cox defeated Tim Prosser, Joshua Page and Joshua Jones.

In the women’s event, the final saw sixth seed Katy Dunne against second seed Jessica Ren. Dunne had upset top seed Yasmin Clarke 6-4, 6-0 in the semi-finals whilst Ren beat third seed Emilia Banos-Gregorians 7-6(7), 3-6, 6-3.

Ren then claimed the title after defeating Dunne 7-5, 6-0.
