Joseph Gill and Laura Oates have both secured singles titles in Stirling this weekend.

In the men’s singles event, Joseph Gill beat Jonny O’Mara 6-4, 6-1 to claim the title. Gill, who was also seeded fourth, did not drop a set the entire tournament, even while facing a tough draw which comprised of three seeded players, including No.2 seed Nicholas Hatchett.

In the women’s singles event, Laura Oates defeated Alicia Robinson 7-6(3), 6-1.

After a close first set that went to a tie-break No.2 seed Oates took the second with relative ease.

On her way to victory, Oates overcame qualifier Meghan Montgomerie 6-2, 6-1 and Hannah Hume who retired at 4-2.

The British Tour now moves onto Bath, which runs from the 23rd – 28th of January.
