Anne Keothavong has won the AEGON Player of the Month award for October.
The 28 year old had a month to remember reaching quarter-finals, semi-finals and winning two titles in three consecutive tournaments on European indoor hard courts.
Keothavong's month began at the ITF $25k in Clermont-Ferrand where she reached the singles quarter-finals before falling 7-5 in the final set to local player Victoria Larriere.
This was followed by an appearance at the WTA $220k in Linz, Austria where she won two rounds of qualifying before defeating Ekaterina Makarova, the 2010 AEGON International champion in round one of the main draw.
The Briton then lost out to former world No.1 Jelena Jankovic in three sets in the last 16 but the tournament inspired Keothavong into a great run of form.
Keothavong then travelled to Luxembourg where she was under pressure as she was defending a number of ranking points having reached the semi-finals in 2010.
The British No.2 won through three rounds of qualifying before beating local wild card Mandy Minella in round one to set up a round of 16 match against another former world No.1 and Grand Slam champion Ana Ivanovic.
Keothavong played a fantastic match to beat the world No.20 6-3, 6-2 and followed this up with quarter-final victory over Bibiane Schoofs to ensure her points were defended as she reached the last four.
The Briton was edged out in three sets by Monica Niculescu in the semi-finals but again gained confidence after another excellent week of results.
The 28 year old then came back to home soil as she headed to Barnstaple in Devon to compete in the ITF $75k AEGON GB Pro-Series event.
In an outstanding week Keothavong won five singles matches in five days to win the title without losing a set including victories over Jill Craybas, Stefanie Voegele, Mona Barthel and Marta Domachowska in the final.
In the same week the Briton also won the doubles title alongside Eva Birnerova of the Czech Republic, winning three matches for the loss of just one set.
Keothavong has taken her form into November completing another title double winning the singles and doubles crowns at the ITF $50k in Ismaning, Germany.
The Briton is now ranked No.2 nationally ahead of Heather Watson and Laura Robson and has finished the year ranked as world No.73. It was a fantastic last few weeks of the season for Anne.
