The Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre will welcome five former Grand Slam finalists this summer, including world No.9 and two-time Wimbledon runner-up Ons Jabeur.
The 29-year-old Tunisian is set to play at the Rothesay Open Nottingham from 8-16 June for the first time in her career.
Last year’s Wimbledon runner-up boasts an impressive record on grass that includes titles at the Rothesay Classic Birmingham (2021) and Berlin (2022). In Birmingham, she became the first Arab woman in history to win a WTA singles title.
Jabeur – who is the top ranked player on this year’s entry list – will be joined by 2021 Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejikiova as well as runner-up Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, alongside former Wimbledon (2021) and US Open (2016) runner-up Karolina Pliskova and 2020 Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin.
Great Britain’s Katie Boulter had already confirmed her spot at the Rothesay Open Nottingham this season as she aims to retain what was her first WTA title in 2023. Boulter is the fourth highest ranked player to enter. In other British news, Emma Raducanu will also be returning to Nottingham for the first time since 2022.
Elsewhere, Ukraine’s Lesia Tsurenko, French duo Clara Burel and Diane Parry, USA’s Caroline Dolehide and Poland’s Magdelena Frech form an entry list that includes 12 players inside the WTA top 60.
