Competition organisers’ toolkit
This online toolkit for competition organisers provides a step by step guide to organising competitions.
The toolkit is ideal for competition organisers who are organising a competition for the first time but will also be really useful for the more experienced competition organisers amongst you.
It includes:
- Tips to help you decide what sort of competition you would like to run.
- Guidance on how to plan and run your competition whether it is a 3 hour competition at your club or school or a week long competition for serious competitors.
- Posters and entry form templates to help you to advertise your competition.
- Competition formats and draw sheets with guidance on what format is best depending on the number of players and their standard.
- Tips to help you to plan your welcome presentation to players and parents and your prize giving presentation.
- Featured competitions which you may like to test out.
What about training to help me get started?
We have developed a training course for people who would like to run competitions but don’t know where to start.
The course is 3 ½ hours long and at the end of the session candidates will:
- Be prepared to confidently deliver their first competition
- Be able to assist the club coach or committee in planning competition.
Courses are running in every county. To book a place on a course contact your county office
