“I love football, and would quite gladly give up tennis if Aston Villa knocked on my door and were looking for a striker! It’s obviously never going to happen, but sometimes I do feel as though I could do a better job than Baros!
"I went to school with England defender Jonathan Woodgate. A reporter once commented on the fact that we used to play football together and Woodgate said, 'Sarah would have been even better at football than she is at tennis.’
"I love travelling, which is good because that’s all I do! Love meeting new people and discovering new cultures, reading books, trying to find ways of generating sponsorship (keeps me mentally sane on the tour), finding ways to promote Montenegro.”
Has a sister, Pippa, and a brother, Richard. Mum, Barbara, is a Mini Tennis coach and regional supervisor for school sports. Father is a scout for Aston Villa Football Club. Family lives in Middlesbrough
Education: Nunthorpe School, Middlesbrough (10 GCSEs), Prior Pursglove College, Guisborough (2 A levels), University of Houston, USA (BS degree in Sports Administration)
