Alex Ward is through to the semi-finals of the men's singles in Cambodia after defeating qualifier Dekel Bar (ISR) 7-6(4), 6-4 in the last eight. To reach the final, Ward who is seeded fourth, must defeat top seed Ti Chen (TPE).
Meanwhile in the doubles, Richard Gabb and Marcus Daniell (NZL) are through to the final where they play second seeds Wan Gao (CHN) & Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND), who defeated Ward and Antoine Escoffier of France in the semi-finals.

Aegon British Tour Masters
The season ending Aegon British Tour Masters is underway on the courts of the Nottingham Tennis Centre. Running from Thursday 29 November to Sunday 2 December, with a total prize money pot of £20,600 up for grabs, the four day event promises to have some great tennis on show with 16 world ranked men, and 5 world ranked women in the draw.
In the men’s draw top seed Josh Goodall and second seed Dan Evans lead the way setting up quarter-final meetings with Robert Carter and Nicolas Rosenzweig respectively. Meanwhile in the women’s draw, Freya Christie caused the biggest upset of the day after toppling top seed Anna Fitzpatrick 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 to seal her place in the last eight. Second seed and recent Aegon GB Pro-Series Edgbaston finalist Harriet Dart is also through to the quarter-finals where she plays eighth seed Nicole Peterson.

Grade 1 - Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships – USA Katy Dunne and American partner Christina Makarova have reached the semi-finals of the girls’ doubles at the Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis, a Junior ITF Grade 1 event. Seeded fifth the British/American duo play third seeds Barbara Haas (AUT) & Katerina Siniakove (CZE) for a place in the final.

Grade 5 - ITF East African Circuit 2 - Kenya
Ben Stride is through to the semi-finals of the boys’ singles in Kenya. Playing as the seventh seed, 16 year-old Stride meets eighth seed Joseph Imeh Ubon (NGR) in the final four. Stride is also in action in the boys’ doubles with compatriot Isaac Stoute. Seeded second, the duo are through to the quarter-finals. Meanwhile British fifth seeds Sascha Modica & Mason Recci have reached the semi-finals and play top seeds Ismael Changawa Ruwa (KEN) & Courtney John Lock (ZIM) next.
In the girls’ doubles second seeds Mia Smith and Nikita Dawda of Kenya have reached the semi-finals and play Alena Mastakova (RUS) & Oleksandra Shkorupeyeva (UKR) for a place in the final.
The Conference Cup got off to an intense start this week with tight matches across the board. In the Midlands region Birmingham men’s 2nd team battled to an 8-4 victory at home against Leicester men’s 1st team. Meanwhile, in the Men’s Trophy competition, Nottingham men’s 1st team progressed to the quarter-finals with a 10-2 win away against Sheffield Hallam Men’s 1st team.

Prague Cup Czech Indoor
Adam Field’s made a good start at the Prague Cup Czech Indoor, his last tournament of 2012, to make the quad singles semi-finals. Top seed Field beat Sweden’s Petter Edstrom 6-2, 6-1 in his opening match yesterday and now plays Patrick Erismann (FRA) in the last four.
Laura Robson has won the Newcomer of The Year in WTA Player Awards, with Heather Watson as a close runner-up. It is the first time a Briton has won a year end WTA award since Virginia Wade won WTA Player of the Year in 1977, 35 years ago.

Registration is now open for the Schools Tennis Road Show 2013, which will be visiting 16 venues across Great Britain in the Spring Term. The Road Show, which is run by the Tennis Foundation and is free to attend, aims to provide an overview of all the resource and support available to schools, together with practical ideas for delivering tennis in an education environment.
