The boys’ doubles title in Melbourne has gone to British duo Liam Broady & Joshua Ward-Hibbert, who beat Adam Pavlasek (CZE) & Filip Veger (CRO) 6-3, 6-2 after just 45 minutes. “It’s just unbelievable, what we’ve been able to do in Australia," said Ward-Hibbert after the win. In the wheelchair quad events world No.2 Pete Norfolk is through to the singles final where he will play American world No. 1 David Wagner after the final day of group matches. Norfolk reaches Australian Open singles final
Norfolk & Andy Lapthorne have already been successful in the quad doubles event, taking the title after they beat Noam Gershony (ISR) & Wagner 6-4, 6-2 in the final. Norfolk & Lapthorne retain Australian Open doubles title

ATP Challenger – Heilbronn Open, Germany – Men’s doubles
Dominic Inglot, and partner Treat Huey, are into the quarter-finals in Germany after a 6-0, 6-2 round one victory. The pair will now take on second seeds Knowle (AUT) & Kohlmann (GER).

AEGON GB Pro-Series Wirral – Men’s singles & doubles
David Rice reached the semi-finals in Wirral after winning through three rounds in straight sets in the AEGON GB Pro-Series singles event. The British 23 year old defeated compatriots Josh Goodall and Alex Ward before falling to Belgian second seed Yannick Mertens in the semi-finals. Mertens will play top seeded Polish player Jerzy Janowicz in the final on Saturday.
However Rice, along with partner Sean Thornley, did take victory in the doubles event, beating second seeds Chris Eaton & Lewis Burton 6-2, 6-3 in the final to claim their first title of 2012.

Turkey F3 Futures $10k – Antalya, Turkey – Men’s doubles
Oli Golding, and Czech partner Jiri Vesely, are into the doubles quarter-finals in Turkey where they will meet Dutch duo Frantzen & Meuffels for a place in the last four.

USA F3 Futures $10k – Weston, FL, USA – Men’s singles
Morgan Phillips is into the quarter-finals after a straight sets victory over the top seed in round two in Florida. The Briton will now take on Australian Jason Kubler, who knocked out British player Edward Corries in round two.

AEGON British Tour Bath – Men’s & Women’s singles
Marcus Willis will take on Joshua Jones in the men’s singles final in Bath. Willis, the top seed, beat Alex Jhun 7-5, 6-2 in his semi-final, whilst Jones, seeded third, gained a walkover against second seed James Feaver in his semi-final.
The women’s final will also be between the first and third seeds, Lisa Whybourn and Steph Cornish. Whybourn beat Emilia Banos-Gregorian 6-3, 6-1 in her semi-finals whilst Cornish came past the unseeded Brigit Folland 6-2, 6-1.
Both finals will take place at 10.30am on Saturday.

ITF Grade 2 – Manta, Ecuador – Girls’ singles & doubles
Georgina Sellyn has won through four rounds without dropping a set to contest the singles semi-final against Mexican seventh seed Victoria Rodriguez in Ecuador. She is also into the doubles final, along with her Mexican partner, and they will now play the Belgian top seeds for the title.

ITF Grade 4 – Prague, Czech Republic – Boys’ singles & doubles
Thomas Colautti and James Elliott are both into the singles and doubles quarter-finals in Prague. In the singles Elliott beat the top seed 6-3, 6-3 in round two and will now play Swiss seventh seed Daniel Valent in the last eight. Colautti, seeded second, has won through two tight three set matches and will now play a Polish opponent for a place in the semi-finals.
In the doubles event both players are playing with foreign partners and will play seeded opposition in the last eight. Elliott & Kierkus (POL) will play the Croatian second seeds and Colautti & Maruscak (SVK) will take on the Czech fourth seeds.
ITF Grade 5 – Muscat, Oman – Girls’ doubles
India Sanders & Farah Abdel-Aziz reached the semi-finals of the doubles in Oman before falling to a Turkish pair.

Tennis Europe 14U Category 1 – Les Petits As, Tarbes, France – Girls’ singles & doubles
Maia Lumsden has continued her recent run of form as she is now into the singles semi-finals in Tarbes. The 16th seed, who won the AEGON Junior International Tennis in Bolton last week, beat the top seed in round three and American Raquel Pedraza 6-3, 6-0 in the quarter-finals. She will now meet another American, fourth seed Alicia Black, for a place in the final.
Lumsden will be joined in the semi-finals by compatriot Gabriella Taylor, who defeated the Moroccan Zaineb El Hourai 6-4, 7-5 in the last eight and will play a Romanian or a Spaniard in the semi-finals.
In the doubles event Lumsden & Jazzi Plews reached the semi-finals before suffering a 6-4, 6-1 to American second seeds Black & Nicole Frenkel.
Tennis Europe Winter Cup by HEAD – Boys’ & Girls’ 12U Qualifying
The 12U GB girls and boys teams are in qualifying action in Turkey and the Czech Republic respectively this weekend.
The girls' team of Ali Collins, Maria Budin, Donia Abdel-Aziz and Kira Reuter won 3-0 in their first match against Bulgaria and will now play Romania in the semi-finals.

Alfie Hewett and Lauren Jones are taking part in this week's Cruyff Foundation Junior Masters in Tarbes, France, the premier annual wheelchair tennis tournament for players aged 18 and under. Hewitt has taken two wins out of two so far.
