Johanna Konta is into the quarter-finals in New York after two straights sets victories in her first two matches, including a 6-2, 6-4 win over the Japanese seventh seed. Konta will now play Chi Chi Scholl of USA for a place in the semi-finals.

AEGON GB Pro-Series Cumberland – $15k - Men’s singles & doubles
The men’s singles final in Cumberland will be a battle of the British Dans, after Dan Cox beat Josh Milton [6] 6-1, 6-1 and Dan Evans [3] beat Neil Pauffley 6-3, 6-0 in the semi-finals. The doubles final will see Evans go for a second title as he teams up with Tom Burn against fourth seeds Sean Thornley & Andrew Fitzpatrick.

The AEGON British Tour Newcastle has reached the quarter-final stages in the men’s and women’s singles with British competitors dominating both draws. There are only three seeds through to the last eight of the men’s draw whilst only one unseeded player has reached the quarter-finals of the women’s.

Grade 4, Portugal – Girls’ singles & doubles and boys’ doubles
Alannah Griffin and Freya Christie have continued their recent run of form and are into the singles quarter-finals and doubles semi-finals in Portugal. Ninth seed Griffin now meets a Russian opponent whilst sixth seeded Christie will play the Spanish fourth seed for a place in the singles semi-finals. In the doubles, as a pair, they are seeded fourth and play a pair of Portuguese wild cards for a place in the final. In the boys’ doubles draw Max Andrews and his Spanish partner are also into the semi-finals playing a Portuguese pair in their next match.

Grade 4, Luxembourg – Girls & boys’ singles and doubles
Julian Cash is into the singles final in Luxembourg after winning four matches without dropping a set. The eighth seed now plays France’s Matthieu Bolot for the title. In the girls’ singles draw Harriet Dart and Katie Boulter both reached the semi-finals before suffering defeats. However Dart is into the doubles final with her Austrian partner and they are playing the second seeds for the title. There is also British interest in the boys’ doubles final as Cash & Lewis Roskilly are playing the top seeds for the title in that event.
Grade 4, Slovak Republic – Boys’ singles
Callum Poland-Smith and Samm Butler are through to the quarter-finals in the Slovak Republic. Both players are seeded and have won two matches in straight sets. Poland-Smith now plays the Polish fifth seed whilst Butler takes on the Polish third seed.
Grade 5, Croatia – Boys’ singles & doubles and girls’ doubles
William Huyton is into the singles semi-finals in Croatia after winning three matches in straight sets. The Brit will now take on the Croatian eighth seed for a place in the final. Huyton is also in the quarter-finals of the doubles with Christopher Egan Morriss and the pair will now play the local top seeds in the last eight. In the girls’ doubles Patricia Valimaa is also in the quarter-finals and again takes on the top seeds in her next match.
Tennis Europe Nations Challenge - 12U Girls’ Finals
The GB 12U girls’ team are competing in the Tennis Europe Nations Challenge 12U Finals in Ajaccio, Corsica. The team consists of Claudia Hallsworth, Eliz Maloney and Ali Collins and came through the qualifying tournament in Haren, Switzerland last month.
The team, captained by John Trehearn, were beaten 2-1 by Ukraine in their first match and will now play Russia in their second match on Friday.

TE Category 3, Denmark – Girls’ singles & doubles
Francesca Jones has won both the singles and doubles titles in Denmark. In an impressive week Jones won five singles matches and three doubles matches for the loss of just one set.
TE Category 3, Ireland – Girls & Boys’ singles & doubles
There is an all British girls’ singles final in Dublin as Georgie Walker and Jodie Anna Burrage play each other for the title after both players have won four rounds in straight sets including wins over compatriots Holly Thompson and Mia Smith respectively. However Smith & Thompson are into the doubles final and will play the Russian second seeds for the title.
In the boys’ singles draw Jack Molloy reached the semi-finals before falling to the German top seed. Molloy & Dominic West and Mohamed Abdel-Aziz & Joseph Ellis also reached the doubles semi-finals before suffering defeats.
TE Category 2, Austria – Boys’ doubles
Daniel Little is into the doubles final in Austria with his Italian partner Elvio Di Cosmo. The pair are fourth seeds, have won three rounds and will now take on the second seeds for the title.
ITF 2, Austrian Open, Gross-Sieghartz, Austria – Quad singles & doubles
Antony Cotterill is flying the flag for Britain in Gross-Sieghartz this week and he made a fine start on the first day of play, reaching the quad singles semi-finals and quad doubles final. Cottterill beat Harald Pramendorfer, the first of two Austrian opponents, 6-0, 6-0 and now plays Markus Wallner in Friday's quad singles semi-finals. Cotterill and Italy's Antonio Raffaele also beat Germany's Marcus Laudan and Pramendorfer 6-0 6-1 in their doubles semi-final and will play the Austrian duo of Peter Tatschl and Wallner in the final later in the week.
