Junior Australian Open
Four British boys have been competing in the main draws of the boys' singles & doubles events at the Australian Open this week. Lining up at Melbourne Park were Liam Broady, Kyle Edmund, Luke Bambridge and Joshua Ward-Hibbert.
In the doubles event Broady & Ward-Hibbert are through to the final where they will play the unseeded combination of Adam Pavlasek (CZE) & Filip Veger (CRO).
In the singles Edmund and Ward-Hibbert both won through to the quarter-finals before suffering defeats.

Maia Lumsden is continuing her great run of form as she is now through to the quarter-finals of the Tennis Europe event, Les Petits As, in Tarbes, France.
Lumsden won the singles and doubles titles at the AEGON Junior International Teen Tennis in Bolton last week, another Tennis Europe 14U category 1 event, and is aiming to do the same again this week in Tarbes.
Lumsden is joined in the girls' singles quarter-finals by compatriot Gabriella Taylor, and in the doubles is partnering fellow Briton Jazzi Plews.

In the boys' doubles Jay Clarke & Samuel Ferguson are into the quarter-finals, as is Robert Leck and his Canadian partner Dylan Bednarczyk.

The AEGON GB Davis Cup Team will play the Slovak Republic in round one of the Euro/Africa Zone Group I on February 10th-12th 2012.
GB secured promotion to Euro/Africa Zone Group I with victory over Hungary at Braehead Arena in Glasgow.
