The Tennis Europe Winter Cups finals by HEAD
This weekend will see the GB boys' 14U & 16U teams competing in the Winter Cups Finals from 17 – 19 February.
Launched in 1977, the Tennis Europe Winter Cups by HEAD is the world's premier indoor junior team tennis competition. The event is played in two stages. During the qualifying stage, teams travel to one of four qualifying zones, each of which hosts up to eight nations. The winner and runner-up from each qualifying zone proceed to the final rounds a fortnight later.
The GB 16U team earned their place in the Winter Cups Final having come runner-up to the Czech-Republic in Istanbul two weeks ago.
Julian Cash, Josef Dodrigde, Adam Glynn and Captain Martin Weston, have all travelled over to Ronchin, France to compete for the final winners title along with Sweden, Russia, Poland, Italy, France and the Czech Republic.
The GB 16U boys’ team are also defending champions having lifted the winners trophy last year in Ronchin, France.

The GB 14U boys' team have also made it into the Winter Cups Final after coming top of their qualifying group by defeating the number one seeds Turkey 3-0 in Ankara.
The GB 14U Boys' Team
Captained by Chris Wilkinson, the team which consists of Samuel Ferguson, Jay Clarke and Marcus Walters will be competing in Correggio, Italy.
Also playing for the title will be Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and the Ukraine.

The 14U Winter National Tour Finals
Katie Swan and Sam Ferguson have both claimed titles at the AEGON 14U Winter National Tour Finals held at the National Tennis Centre.
Katie Swan defeated first seed Anastasia Mikheeva 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 in a three set battle to lift the winner’s trophy. After the match, Katie reflected on her success; ‘It feels really great especially because Anastasia is such a great player.’
Sam Ferguson also enjoyed success after his three set defeat over Daniel Bennett. Sam who comes from Derby defeated the No.1 seed 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 and was happy with his performance.
‘It feels really good, it always feels good to win a tournament but it definitely feels a lot better to win such a big tournament like this and I am even more happy because all my hard work has paid off.’

The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas
The AEGON GB Davis Cup Team defeated the Slovak Republic 3-2 in round one of the Euro/Africa Zone Group I last weekend.
If you missed any of the Davis Cup action you can catch up by reading - GB vs. Slovak Republic - As it Happened.
Following the win over the Slovak Republic the British team will now take on Belgium in round two of Euro/Africa Zone Group I.
Immediately after the win, it was announced that the next Davis Cup tie for the GB Team will be played at Braehead Arena, Glasgow, on April 6th - 8th 2012.
