The GB 12U team competing in the Tennis Europe Nations Challenge

Good luck to the GB 12U Girls Team competing in the Tennis Europe Nations Challenge 12U Final in Ajaccio, France.
The team consisting of Claudia Hallsworth, Eliz Maloney and Ali Collins will compete in the Finals from 9th-12th August after coming through the qualifying tournament in Haren, Switzerland last month.
The team, captained by John Trehearn defeated Hungary and Switzerland on the way to sealing qualification and will be hoping to continue a recent run of British success.
Give tennis a go at BT London Live
So the Tennis is over at the London Olympics and what a thrilling climax it was with medals for both Andy Murray and Laura Robson. If it has inspired you to pick up a racket and hit the courts then get down to BT London Live this weekend where people of all ages are being given the opportunity to give the sport a go themselves.
Hyde Park and Victoria Park in London have been hosting a number of free tennis sessions throughout the Olympic Games as part of the BT London Live ‘Have A Go’ programme, which started on Saturday, July 28.
This weekend sees the final free sessions at Hyde Park (Saturday August 11 -11am-2.20pm) whilst at Victoria Park free tennis taster sessions will be taking place on five courts on Sunday August 12 – from 11am until 3.30pm.
And it's not only in the capital where you can sample tennis for free this month as from 18th-19th August sports clubs across the country will open their doors for a festival of activity as part of the Join In Local Sport campaign.
