- The $42.5k Caversham International AEGON Pro-Series Men’s event in Jersey draws to a close this weekend with Dan Smethurst and Marcus Willis competing in the semi-finals against tournament No.4 seeds Frederik Nielsen (DEN) and Joseph Sirianni (AUT).
- The wild card entrants defeated German pair Florian Mayer and Tobias Summerer 2-6, 6-1, 11-9 in the quarter-finals.
- Meanwhile in the other semi-final, British No.4 Josh Goodall and his partner Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (CAN) face Finish pair Jarkko Nieminen and Henri Kontinen. The Finish pairing reached the semi-finals after a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Briton’s Neil Pauffley and Alexander Ward.
- Jade Curtis competes in the quarter-finals of the $10k AEGON Pro-Series Women's singles event against Kiki Bertens (NED).
- Curtis, the tournament No.2 seed also plays in the semi-finals of the doubles event with partner Kelly Anderson (RSA). The pair meet Bertens and Danielle Harmsen (NED).
- The Ren sisters- Jessica and Jennifer- are also in the semi-finals of the doubles event in Jersey and will play TImea Babos (HUN) and Malou Ejdesgaard (DEN).
- Babos, the ITF Junior No.4, announced this week that she has chosen to train at the Gosling IHPC, benefiting from the help of British coaches and training with British players.
- The final of the ECTA Champions League in Men’s and Women’s University Tennis is being staged at Gosling IHPC over the weekend with British Universities including Stirling, Leeds, Manchester, Loughborough, Oxford, Bath, Exeter, London Met and Leeds Met competing.
- David Brewer will play Robin Goodman in the final of the Men's singles AEGON British Tour event in Hull whilst Yasmin Clarke plays fellow Briton Yvanna Kurlak in the final of the Women's singles.
- Manisha Foster is competing in the Grade 4 Girls singles and doubles events at the Junior Championships in Surabaya, Indonesia. She faces tournament No.6 seed Lin Zhu (CHN) after her 6-1, 6-4 win over Vanessa Gunawan (INA).
- Foster also competes in the doubles with Lauren Joanne Lang (INA) against Nadya Syarifah (INA) and Aldila Sutjiadi (INA).
- Nick Jones plays in the quarter-finals of the Grade 4 ITF Boys’ singles event in Florida (USA) against Nathan Pasha (USA) and also competes in the quarter-finals of the doubles with partner Miche Kontinen (FIN). The pair meet Americans Connor Farren and Mitchell Polnet.
