James Blake will meet Andy Murray in Sunday’s AEGON Championships final at Queen’s Club.
Blake was handed an easy passage through the semi-final after Andy Roddick was forced to withdraw during the first set.
With the score standing at 4-4, Roddick chased a lob and went over awkwardly on his ankle after hitting the ball through his legs.
It was an unfortunate end to a promising match which had gone with serve for the opening eight games.
Blake also reached the final on his last appearance at Queen’s Club in 2006 while Murray, the top seed and world No.3, will be making his debut at this stage of the tournament.
Having defeated Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-2 6-4 in his semi-final, Murray will be attempting to become the first British player since Bunny Austin in 1938 to win the title at Queen’s Club.
Blake, who is ranked No.16 in the world, has won his only previous match with Murray, beating the British No.1 on clay at the Hamburg Masters in 2006.
The final is scheduled to begin at 2pm on Sunday.
