New areas of the LTA website have been developed to help adults (18+) become involved in competition whether as part of a team or as an individual.
Developing adult competition and providing regular playing opportunities for all ages and abilities to access tennis locally is a focus for the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
There are local, regional and national level competitions for adults taking place across Britain throughout the whole year providing regular opportunities to get involved in tennis.
LTA Head of Participation, Matt James said: “Developing adult competition is now a real focus for British Tennis. We are developing the adult competitive structure to provide regular opportunities for adult players of all ages and abilities to access local competition.
There are many opportunities for adults to compete and we will be adding more opportunities this winter including individual box leagues at a large number of parks across Great Britain and regional open tournaments which will take place over a weekend. We believe that by promoting the current adult competitions and adding new competitions we will help to attract and retain more adults in the game.”
