British Tennis celebrates world pride and LGBT inclusion

The LTA joined together with the National Governing Bodies of Sport to show their commitment to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender inclusion in sport as they marched through central London to celebrate the World Pride Parade on Saturday 7 July. 

The LTA was joined on the march by members of 'Tennis London International' a local LGBT club who helped promote the allplay tennis park and hit tennis balls with LTA colleagues down Oxford Street, around Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square to the delight of the crowd. 

The allplay tennis park also celebrated World Pride on Sunday by promoting the sport charter to end homophobia and transphobia in sport and running a special pride cardio session with local residents and pride attendees.
