The first ITF Grade 4 International Beach Tennis Tournament in the UK hosted by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Beach Tennis UK is due to be staged from 18-19 August.
The weekend activity takes place at Boscombe Beach in Bournemouth with an ITF sanctioned Men's and Ladies Main Draw, which offer ITF world rankings, as well as a Mixed Doubles and consolation event. There will be action on the five Match Courts, including Centre Court and two practice courts.
Entry is free for spectators and there are a number of activities during the weekend including the opportunity to try Beach Tennis as well as having a go at Sand Fitness with free organised fitness sessions taking place throughout the weekend, with prizes to be won.
With a DJ and music to enjoy over the two days the event promises to be an entertaining spectacle and a great introduction to the sport of Beach Tennis.
