U10 Success For Warwickshire At The Corby 12 Counties!

Sunday 15th March 2010 and it was the turn of the 10U Boys and Girls Warwickshire squads to impress at the 12 Counties.  With the situation tight at the top of the league Warwickshire was looking to keep up the pressure on Yorkshire in 1st with a day of good performances.  The boys team consisted of Jake Hersey, George Machin, Daniel Smyj-James and Richard Harrison with the girls team consisting of Charlotte Peckover, Summer Yardley, Elizabeth Massie and Mhari Tyler.

U10 Boys Results:

Hertfordshire 1 – 3 Warwickshire
Cambridge 0 – 4 Warwickshire
Yorkshire 2 – 2 Warwickshire

U10 Girls Results:

Hertfordshire 0 – 4 Warwickshire
Cambridge 1 – 3 Warwickshire
Yorkshire 4 – 0 Warwickshire

Overall a great display from both teams setting up a tight finish to decide the championships.  With Division 1 status pretty much guaranteed for next season all eyes will be on the U16’s at the end of March to see whether Warwickshire can win the 12 Counties 2009/2010.
