DAVID LLOYD B-HAM THROUGH TO NATIONAL INDOOR MENS TENNIS DOUBLES FINALS

David Lloyd B-Ham (based at Shady Lane Great Barr) for the first time this year entered a team in this prestigious  National Premier Indoor Mens Doubles League.

After  finishing winners of one the  7 regional leagues ,the West Midlands Regional League at David Lloyd Westury on Trym, Bristol last Sunday they won their Regional  Winners one pair Play –Off match to reach the finals

Four Oaks Tennis Club players 15 year old Warwickshire County  player Jack Busby and Derbyshire County Player  Dan Cottier  representing David Lloyd B-Ham easily defeated  Lancashire County players Sean Stafford and Jonathan Shacklady representing Blackburn Northern Indoor Tennis Centre 6/4,6/3

The finals will take place at Esporta Gloucester from Thurs to Sunday April 8 to 11.

There will be 14 teams playing in the finals  in a reverse doubles format and teams are allowed to include one wild card player who has not played in the qualifying stages.

Edgbaston Priory who have been winners for the last two years enter at this finals stage.

 Organiser of the David Lloyd B-Ham team Vic Brown says our success in reaching the finals has succeeded all expectations .

 Four Oaks Tennis Club players Arnie Benidor, Dan Cottier, Jack and Harry Busby, Tony King together with David Lloyd’s Sundeep Ubhi and Edgbaston Archery’s   Richard Broadhead were the squad players who brought about this success.
