Pro-Active South London Coach Bursary Scheme

Pro-Active South London (PASL) has access to funding to assist qualified coaches based within South London. This funding is based on a first come first served basis and will be distributed based on need as determined by PASL. Anyone interested in the opportunity must respond no later than 10th March 2010.


 

County Cup

The Surrey team went into this years’ event full of hope and excitement. Despite having our three highest ranked players unavailable, we were confident that our team was strong enough to stay in the top division.

Coach apprenticeship scheme

The Coaching Apprenticeship programme is designed to incorporate both the Level 2 and Coach Qualification, it will provide a structured learning pathway which will include work based learning and mentoring at accredited LTA centres.

In October and November 2009 club volunteers and coaches from across Surrey came together to discuss their views on tennis. The forums focussed on the relationship between club volunteers and the coach and how developing a strong relationship can benefit your club and support you in retaining and increasing members.

Lithuania have defeated AEGON Team GB 3-2 in their Europe/Africa Zone Group II Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie in Vilnius after Dan Evans lost a heroic five-set encounter against Lithuanian No.2 Laurynas Grigelis 7-6, 5-7, 0-6, 6-2, 4-6.
