Mini Red Club Team Challenge - North Staffordshire

On Saturday 27th February the teams from across North Staffordshire travelled to Draycott Sports centre to compete in the Mini Tennis Red Club team challenge. The club teams were represented by 4 players with each competitor playing singles against their equal number in all the opposing teams and also teaming up for a doubles against each team.

The results were as follows:

There were many close matches resulting in a very close battle at the top of the table. Congratulations to the team from the Grange TC in Burton who pipped their rivals at the top of the table. The team made up of Matt Jobson, Kirsty Tunnicliffe, Daisy Haines and Jack Woodyet took home the winning trophy for the club as well as a medal and certificate each. The Draycott team received runners-up medals and certificates and Burton TC and Denstone TC also received certificates. A special mention also goes to Daniel Corner of Burton TSC who won all of his singles and doubles matches. 

Well done to all the players many of whom were playing their first competitive matches outside of their clubs. Details of future Red Team competitions will be sent to clubs shortly or search the competition listings for individual competitions for red players.
