Schools Competition - Year 3 & 4 mini red county finals

On Wednesday 14th July the county final of the year 3&4 mini tennis red competition was held at Stafford Sports College. 7 teams were invited following their wins in school sports partnership events in the weeks leading up to the final.

Each team was represented by 2 boys and 2 girls from year 3 or 4. Each player competed against their opposite number from each school, with matches being 5 minutes long.

The following schools represented their school sports partnership areas:

• Little Aston - Lichfield
• St Mary's - Stoke
• Ball Green - Stoke
• Anson - Stafford & Stone
• Princefield - South Staffordshire
• Cheadle - Staffordshire Moorlands
• St Margaret's - Newcastle

Well done to all the players who participated in the event, all the spectators noted how each player gave 100% to their matches. Congratulations to Princefield First School from Penkridge who managed to squeeze the top spot by just 2 points. Little Aston Primary were the runners-up with Cheadle and St Margaret's tied for 3rd place. 

All players received a well done certificate. Little Aston's player received runners-up certificates and Princefield's also collected medals and a framed certificate.
