Team GB, including Glasgow's Maia Lumsden, got off to a flying start in their first match of qualifying for the 2010 Tennis Europe Nations Challenge against Estonia in Izmit, Turkey.
The 12-year-old Scot produced a commanding performance to defeat Pia Pajus in straight sets, 6-0 6-4 before later teaming up with London's Jazzi Plews to win their doubles tie in similar fashion, 6-2 6-0, against Pajus and Simone Parn.
The British team, which also features Gabi Taylor, produced a whitewash performance to take the match 3-0 and now face Russia.
Meanwhile there was disappointment for Alice Keddie at the 14 and under European Junior Championships in Pilzen in the Czech Republic, as she lost both her singles and doubles matches.
In the last 16 of the singles, Belarus' Iryna Shymanovich proved too strong for Keddie taking the tie 6-0 6-0. The Dundee player was unable to turn her fortune around playing with Loughborough's Katie Boulter in the quarter-final of the double event. The British pair lost out 6-3 6-1 to France's Estelle Cascino and Laura Tanfin.
