Fleming And Baker In Davis Cup Squad

Tennis Scotland Chief Executive David Marshall welcomed today’s news that both Colin Fleming and Jamie Baker have been selected for the Great Britain Davis Cup squad ahead of next month’s crunch tie in Lithuania.

“To have two of the six strong squad from Scotland when neither Andy nor Jamie Murray is involved is testimony to the strength of the game in this country right now.

“Along with Ken Skupski, Colin has forged a partnership that on its day has already demonstrated they can beat the best in the world while Jamie’s stunning rise up the rankings following his return from serious illness is a fabulous example to aspiring players of what determination and hard work can achieve.”

The tie will take place from 5th – 7th March 2010 at the Vitas Gerulaitis Memorial Tennis Centre, Vilnius.
