Tennis World Train Volunteer Competition Organisers

Tennis World, which is the North East’s Satellite venue trained up a further 10 Competition Organisers at the end of January.

The free course was organised by Barbara Borwell and the Club to train future competition organisers who can help deliver competitions.  This is due to the Clubs continued competition programme, which is being developed to offer players of all ages and standards the opportunities to compete.  However with the increased demand for enjoyable, quality and regular events the club realised that it needs to grow its organisers and helpers to help support and run the competitions.  Therefore the Competition Organisers course was the first step to assisting with this. 

Barbara who helped organise the course has been the Mini Tennis coach at the Club for a number of years and is going to mentor the organisers at future events, which is the key to their own personal and the clubs continued success.

Although the link highlights the course is focused on those people aged between 16-25, we are also encouraging older adults, including parents to attend the course to help too!
