Peter Carmichael and Steph Eadon are excited to be involved with the Local Heroes event 2010!
Peter is a Level 2 coach and Steph Level 1 and they have started coaching at Elswick Park, Newcastle for the Hat Trick Project.
Both coaches have been supported through the Tony Blair Sports Foundation and are getting involved in many local opportunities and the young people are bound to have great sessions with them at the helm! The Local Heroes event involves over 15 sports and activities and more than 10 different organisations all pulling together. For the first five weeks of the summer they deliver ‘roadshows’ which are basically fun, multi-sports sessions on the doorstep of key neighbourhoods in the West End of Newcastle. In the final week they run a 3-day festival at the Centre for Sport. The theme each year is creating new heroes through sport and the best way you can do that is by getting involved yourself as a volunteer and inspiring hundreds of local young people to take part in sport.
