Meet our team who are responsible for the development of tennis in the County.
Jemima Fleming has been with the LTA for 7 years, having originally been employed as a Club Development Officer. Jemima then became the Talent Performance Co-oridnator for Middlesex before being appointed Tennis Development Manager in April 2009.
Tim joined the Middlesex team in October 2009. Originally from Cornwall, Tim played to a county and national standard as a junior before playing for Virginia Intermont College in the USA. Since then he was head coach of Falmouth Sports Club for 3 years and managed Cornwall county teams. Having completed a degree in Journalism in 2009 he relocated to London where he now oversees the development of junior performance players within Middlesex.
John is an active tennis player and an LTA CCA qualified coach. John has worked within the county for 8-years and has a good working knowledge of the challenges faced by clubs and other tennis providers. He would welcome the opportunity to work with any clubs in growing and sustaining their membership, developing their coaching team and coaching programmes and organising more junior and adult competition.
Hannah joined the Middlesex Team in August 2008. Hannah is a former County player having competed at a national level as a junior. Her interest for tennis continued through her degree at University where she undertook a course in Sport and Exercise Science.
Ollie was appointed in August 2009. He joined the LTA after completing his Business Studies degree at Middlesex University. Ollie began playing tennis at the age of four and in 2007 he gained his Level 1 coaching qualification badge.
Brenda has been associated with Middlesex for over 15 years and is responsible for both adult and junior league competitions. She is also a member of the Middlesex Tennis Management Board and can be spotted throughout the year refereeing events across the country.
Alissa Ayling – Tennis Development Officer (London Boroughs)
I joined the LTA in January 2011 as the TDO for London, with a focus on the development of community tennis within the inner London boroughs. I played to a county and national level before obtaining a tennis scholarship at Boise State University in the USA. I have a B.A in Psychology and Diploma in Sports Psychology. I still play tennis recreationally and for Hertfordshire at the summer and winter county cup events.
