Mini Tennis Winter Finals 2010

Over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March the Red County Championships and the Finals of both the Orange and Green Winter Qualifiers 2010 took place. Over 70 youngsters had earned their way into the finals by playing and doing really well at a number of qualifying events which were held across the county. The standard of tennis across the entire weekend was excellent, with both intelligent and skilful play on display throughout. Sandi Procter (Director of Tennis – Bromley Tennis Centre) took charge of the Red event with Austin Smith (President, Kent LTA) presenting the prizes with the inaugural Sandi Procter Trophies being awarded and Chris Mann oversaw the Orange and Green finals and the Kent Office Team were on hand to support the weekend.  

Everyone who attended played several matches and the events were well supported by parents, family, friends and coaches. Everyone who attended was given a pack about the upcoming Summer 2010 season – a guidebook if you will to navigate the upcoming season!

Huge thanks goes to the players for making the events such a high quality, parents for making the events happen, tennis leaders for scoring and supporting the youngsters, the referees for running such tight ships and the coaches who attended who clearly care about how their charges fair competitively!
