Kent's 12U Team won 6-4 against Surrey on Sunday 13th June at David Lloyd Raines Park. All the boys played some excellent tennis throughout the day.
In the first round of rubbers, Roland Jones played superbly to beat Sam Wilton and Cameron Shah won the first set before Zeki Horaz retired. Unfortunately James Davis and Matthew Summers lost closely fought matches to Lewis Symonds and Lawrence Perrin.
In the second round of singles Cameron continued his winning streak beating Lewis Symonds, with Matthew Summers beat Sam Wilron. Roland Jones lost to Lawrence Perrin in a match tiebreak while James Davis's opponent Zeki conceeded a walkerover.
In the doubles Cameron and James lost to a rejuvenated Zeki and his partner Lewis while Roland and Matthew beat Lawrence and Sam.
Overall Kentwon 6-4 in a closely fought tie; all the boys played really well and enjoyed themselves. Well done to you all and thank you to the parents who attended to support the boys!
