Two Havering Parks Awarded National Recognition

Two of Havering’s leading tennis park sites, Hyland’s Community Sports Club in Hylands and Raphael’s Park in Romford, have both been awarded ‘Beacon’ status in recognition of their high quality, affordable community tennis programmes. Girls from Coopers Company and Coburn head to Bolton for Aegon Schools Finals

24 teams take part in the 2010 AEGON Team Tennis Schools Senior Students Finals to be held at the Bolton Arena over the weekend.  One team taking part is the Coopers Company and Coburn School from Upminster in Essex.  We wish the team of Emily Defroand, Eva Dench, Sian Green, Caitlyn Hardy and Adele Sammons the best of luck.

Competition Listings

The competition listings contain details of all competitions (Grade 3 to Grade 6) in this county.The current listings are for the summer season which runs from 1st April to 31st August.The listings are split into five categories – Red/8U, Orange/9U, Green/10U, Yellow/11U to 18U and Adult (including Veterans).
You can download your listings for the summer  and use them to plan which competitions you want to take part in and then enter!

A very successful finals day took place last Sunday 7 March at Redbridge Sports & Leisure.  Tophies were awarded by John Tucker, President of the ECLTA.

Ward reaches semi-finals in Bath

The AEGON Pro-Series event is currently taking place in Bath with a British presence in the women's singles, doubles and men's doubles whilst Alexander Ward reached the semi-finals of the men's singles.

British juniors make bright start in Sunderland

There was success for British juniors at the at the North East Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in Sunderland with Josh Steels and Alfie Hewett earning quarter-finals matches against British No 2 David Phillipson and British No.3 Marc McCarroll respectively.
