Devon tennis is supported by volunteer officials who meet regularly and work to deliver the county association's strategies in support of British tennis.
John's involvement in Tennis began as a junior at Dawlish LTC. He is now a member and former chairman of Woodbury TC. Whilst teaching at Exeter School, John became involved in schools tennis which resulted in his being the chairman of Devon Schools LTA for some years and a member of the Devon LTA Council. John became chairman in 2001 and in 2010 stepped down from the chair but remains Vice Chairman.
John was awarded the MBE in 2007 for his services to the other great sporting passion in his life - sailing and the Sea Scouts.
Though a social player since school, it was through his children's interest that David found himself seriously involved in County tennis. He joined the then 'Junior Committee' and subsequently became Performance Chairman and has been Devon's LTA Councillor for over 10 years.
David has been involved with tennis in North Devon and the Westward Ho! Tennis Club for over 30 years seeing him in many roles from Men's Captain to North Devon LTA Chairman. He is currently Chairman of Westward Ho! Tennis Club, a North Devon area club representative on the Devon LTA Council and in 2010 took on the role of Chairman. He is also an active referee and 22 years ago he organised and refereed the first ratings tournament in Devon which still takes place annually with David as referee.
Andy is very involved in the Exeter & District Tennis League and also represents that area on the Devon LTA Council.
Nicky is an active member of Sidmouth Tennis Club and the East Devon Tennis League.
