Cambridgeshire county over 35s mens' tennis team are travelling to Eastbourne this weekend to contest Division one of the County Cup for the first time in their history. The County Cup is held at Devonshire Park over the Bank Holiday August weekend and 44 counties from the UK divided into 11 divisions compete against each other with over 250 players involved. The team, captained by David Mills, includes Pieter van Houten, Scott Martin, Adrian Blackman and Richard Ground.
The team will be facing Dorset, Leicestershire and Yorkshire with the top two teams remaining in Division one and two facing relegation.
In advance of weekend, Mills commented "We are very much looking forward to this weekend and competing with the top three counties in the UK. We have a very good team but are facing 3 very strong counties. Weather permitting, we hope to compete well and are looking to bring back the title for Cambridgeshire."
