GREAT WEEK FOR BERKSHIRE TENNIS

This week has seen great success for Berkshire tennis teams.

Pride of place goes to the Men’s Senior team at Cambridge who won all 5 matches to return to Division 4 of the LTA Inter-County Summer event. Team Captain Andrew Rogers was particularly delighted and feels that if he can keep his young players together, he has the basis for the next 5 years.

Meanwhile the Ladies team at Poole were only 1 rubber short of also gaining promotion, with 3 convincing wins & two narrow 4-5 defeats just not enough to get second spot in Division 3.

At Roehampton over the week-end 2 Berkshire clubs featured in the AEGON Junior Play-offs and both reached their Final. At 16U, Win Tennis from Bisham made it through whilst at 12U Esporta Bracknell also won.  Both local teams had already won through their respective Leagues to reach the Finals.
