This role needs someone who has a passion for tennis and the benefits it can bring to disabled people. The role of the North Regional Disability Tennis Development Manager is to support the Tennis Foundation’s mission and implement the disability tennis development strategy, by engaging and building relationships with existing and new partners to encourage more tennis facilities to deliver inclusive tennis programs and increase the number of disabled people playing tennis. You will need to be a dynamic, forward thinking individual who is adaptable to working in multiple environments including; local authorities, clubs, parks, community tennis centres and County Sport Partnerships. The role of the disability development co-ordinator is to monitor activities relating to the delivery of the disability tennis development element of the disability tennis strategy. You will be supporting the National and Regional Disability Development team in co-ordinating the Disability Tennis Network program and our associated development activities. This will involve careful management of our systems, analysis of stats and identifying areas of improvement as well as highlighting best practice. You will need to be an efficient, organised and personable individual with strong time-management skills. Closing deadline for applications is 14.09.14.
As a general overview the Communication Intern will be responsible for the following areas:Be an ambassador for the vision of British tennis both internally and externally communicating and promoting the vision and direction of British tennis with passion. Build and maintain good inter-departmental relationships and communication with Tennis Foundation and LTA colleagues and work in partnership with other team members. In a small team, be prepared to carry out any necessary tasks when required and sometimes out of regular office hours. Provide outstanding customer service to tennis stakeholders and visitors, responding quickly with true personal ownership and responsibility in a world-class working environment. Cooperate with measures introduced to ensure there is Equality of Opportunity. Comply with all aspects of the LTA’s Health and Safety Policy (as adopted by the Tennis Foundation) and arrangements.
