IN BRIEF

  • Andy Murray won the men’s singles title at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.
  • Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski won the men’s doubles title at the $15k event in Abidjan.
  • David Thomson won the boys’ singles title and teamed up with his twin brother Mathew to win the boys’ doubles title at the 18&U ITF Grade 3 event in Dhaka.
  • Richard Gabb won the boys’ singles title and teamed up with Daniel Cochrane to win the boys’ doubles title at the 18&U ITF Grade 4 event in Copenhagen.
  • Laura Slater and Laura Deigman won the girls’ doubles title at the 18&U ITF Grade 5 event in Doha.
  • Luke Bambridge and Katy Dunne won the boys’ and girls’ singles titles at the 14&U AEGON Winter Masters in Roehampton.
  • Connor Glennon won the boys’ singles title at the 16&U Tennis Europe Category 3 event in Farum.

DAVIS CUP PLAY-OFFS BEGIN NEXT WEEK AT THE NTC

  • The Davis Cup play-offs, which will determine two spots in the AEGON GB Davis Cup team, will take place next week on Monday (10:30am start), Wednesday (10:30am start) and Friday (9:30am start) at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. The play-offs will be contested by Josh Goodall, Alex Slabinsky, James Ward, Chris Eaton, Dan Evans and Colin Fleming with each playing three best out of five sets matches.
  • Media are invited to attend the National Tennis Centre but need to confirm their attendance via email with the LTA communications team prior to the play-offs commencing: Rhian.Evans@LTA.org.uk and Chris.Archer@LTA.org.uk.

  • Ross Hutchins (GBR) & Stephen Huss (AUS) reached the doubles semi-final losing to Rohan Bopanna (IND) & Jarkko Nieminen (FIN) 6-3 6-7(5) [5-10].

  • Colin Fleming (GBR) & Ken Skupski (GBR) won the doubles title beating Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (CAN) & Andreas Haider-Maurer (AUT) in the final 6-3 7-6(3).

  • Katie O’Brien (GBR) reached the singles semi-final losing to Eleni Danilidou (GRE) 6-1 6-7(4) 2-6.
