Women’s: Great Britain 2-1 Colombia

The Lexus Great Britain World Team Cup women's team have finished this year's tournament in fifth place after securing a 2-1 win over Colombia.

Competing in the fifth and sixth place play-off tie, Abbie Breakwell pushed her nation to an early lead by clinching an impressive win over Zuleinny Rodriguez 6-4, 6-1.

It was then over to Lucy Shuker to put the match to rest against Johana Martinez. The British No.1 put in a dominant display against the world No.36, as she closed in on a 6-2, 6-1 victory in an hour and 21 minutes to seal fifth place overall for the British women.

Breakwell later teamed up with fellow rising star Ruby Bishop for the doubles rubber, with the British duo narrowly losing out in the match deciding tie-break 3-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Juniors: Great Britain 3-0 Colombia

The GB juniors were awarded a walkover against South Africa on day five at the World Team Cup, as they move on to Sunday's fifth and sixth place play-offs where they will take on Belgium.

Men's: Great Britain 2-1 France

The Lexus Great Britain World Team Cup men's team are on track to defend their title after bypassing France to set up a clash against Spain in the final.

The Brits have only dropped one rubber so far this week and will be looking to top off a near flawless week so far with one last victory on Sunday.

Gordon Reid got his nation off to a winning start in their semi-final contest after producing a dominant display over Frederic Cattaneo 6-4, 6-0 to give Great Britain an early advantage.

It was then over to world No.1 Alfie Hewett who dispatched Stephane Houdet 6-0, 6-2 to punch the Brits' ticket to final two in another faultless performance.

Youngsters Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward then teamed up with the hopes of making it a clean sweep, but the experienced pair of Houdet and Frederic Cattaneo eventually prevailed 6-0, 6-2 to etch a win on the baord for France.

Great Britain will now face an inspired Spanish team on Sunday comprising of Martin De La Puente, Enrique Siscar Meseguer, Daniel Caverzaschi and Francesc Tur.

Women’s: Great Britain 2-0 Thailand

The GB women got off to a fantastic start in their first positional play-off match against Thailand on day four of the tournament, with the Brits winning both of their singles rubbers.

British No.2 Abbie Breakwell set the tone for a clean performance from the British side as she closed out a 6-1, 6-2 win over Thipaksorn Singkaew in just an hour and 10 minutes.

It was then over to Lucy Shuker to put the match to rest as she overcame Sakhorn Khanthasit 7-5, 6-4 in the second singles battle of the day. The British No.1 found her way through a tight opening set before eventually clinching a straight sets win in just under two hours.

The British women will now go on to compete for either fifth or sixth place.

Quad: Great Britain 3-0 South Africa

The Lexus GB World Team Cup quad team received a walkover in their first positional play-off match after the South African team were forced to withdraw due to player injury.

Great Britain will now do battle against the USA or Japan to determine fifth and sixth place in the tournament.

Juniors: Great Britain 0-3 Australia

Defending champions Great Britain have missed out on the chance to retain their title after the junior side lost out in a hard-fought battle against a strong Australian side.

Heading into their final round-robin match against the Aussies, Ruben Harris narrowly missed out to Bejamin Wenzel in a  6-4, 7-5 defeat before Jin Woodman completed the job for his nation by beating Oliver Cox 6-1, 6-2.

In the doubles rubber, Wenzel and Woodman joined forces to beat Lucas John De Gouveia and Will Barton 6-0, 6-1.

The juniors will now head to the positional play-offs to determine their final position in the 2024 World Team Cup.

Men’s: Great Britain 3-0 Japan

The Lexus GB World Team Cup men's side have eased to the semi-finals of the 2024 World Team Cup after easing to a 3-0 victory over Japan to book their spot.

The Brits closed out the round robin stages without losing a single rubber as they keep their hopes of defending their crown alive.

Gordon Reid got proceedings underway win a comprehensive 6-1, 6-1 win over Japan's Shogo Takano in just over one hour to give Great Britain the early edge. It was then over to youngster Dahnon Ward who came through a tough three-set battle against Tomoya Tachi. After dropping a tight opening set, Ward turned up the heat in the third to eventually grasp an impressive 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 win.

Reid then teamed up with Ben Bartram for the doubles rubber, which saw them brush aside Tachi and Takano 6-2, 6-3.

Great Britain will now face France in Friday's semi-final as they look to secure back-to-back World Team Cup titles.

Women’s: Great Britain 0-3 Netherlands

The Lexus GB World Team Cup women's side lost their second tie against the Netherlands.

Facing a tough contest against a strong Dutch side, Ruby Bishop kicked off the action on day three but was defeated 6-1, 6-1 by a dominant Aniek Van Koot.

Rising young star Abbie Breakwell then put up a strong fight in the opening set against world No.1 Diede de Groot but the 39-time Grand Slam champion's experience soon prevailed as she clinched a 6-3, 6-0 victory over the British No.2.

Lucy Shuker and Cornelia Oosthuizen then teamed up for the doubles rubber, where the Dutch team eventually secured a clean sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win.

They will now go on to compete in a 5-8 place play-off to determine their finishing position.

Quad: Great Britain 1-2 Turkey

Great Britain's quad team lost out to the hosting nation to put an end to their 2024 World Team Cup title hopes.

After edging the opening set against Ahmet Kaplan, Britain's Andy Lapthorne went on to suffer a 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-2 defeat in two hours and 16 minutes before Greg Slade lost to Ugur Altinel 6-3, 7-5.

However, the Lexus GB World Team Cup quad team made sure they finished the day on a high as Lapthorne and Gary Cox teamed up to get the better of Ali Ataman and Fatih Karatas, winning 6-4, 6-4.

Similar to the women's team, the quad team will now go on to compete in a 5-8 place play-off.

Juniors: Great Britain 2-1 Netherlands

After suffering defeat yeasterday, the British juniors bounced back to secure their first win of the 2024 World Team Cup after edging the Netherlands in a close battle.

Oliver Cox made a winning start for his nation with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Pieke Ten Berge before Ruben Harris backed it up with a solid performance to beat Marjin Bruinooge 6-0, 6-4.

However, the Netherlands refused to let the Brits get away with a runaway victory as Ten Berge and Bruinooge teamed up to overcome Will Barton and Lucas John de Gouveia 6-2, 6-2.

They'll now go on to play Australia in their final match of the round robin stages.

Men’s: Great Britain 3-0 Brazil

It's two wins out of two for the Lexus GB World Team Cup men's side after they continued their unbeaten run on day two in Antalya.

Gordon Reid has set the tone for the Great Britain men’s side in their second group match against Brazil, storming to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Gustavo Caneiro Silva.

For the second time in two days, world No.1 Alfie Hewett had to come back from a set down to defeat Daniel Rodrigues 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 in two hours and 47 minutes. Hewett has had to show every ounce of his mental resilience to keep GB's 100% record and will feel battle-hardened going into the latter stages of the competition.

Youngsters Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward completed the job for GB by beating Gustavo Carneiro Silva and Bruno Makey 6-1, 6-4.

The Brits have had a positive start to their title defence so far, after a hard-fought 3-0 win over South Africa yesterday.

Women’s: Great Britain 3-0 Brazil

The Lexus GB World Team Cup women’s side got off to the perfect start in their opening tie against Brazil as Cornelia Oosthuizen and Lucy Shuker sealed singles victories before Abbie Breakwell and Ruby Bishop closed out the win.

Oosthuizen came out on top in the first match against Fernanda Alves Maria 6-2, 7-5, before British No.1 Shuker clinched the tie with a close win over Meirycoll Duval 7-5, 7-6(8).

The results gave Breakwell and Bishop to complete a whitewash win for the Brits in the doubles - defeating Alves Maria and Jade Lanai 6-0, 7-6(3).

A win for the Brits will be a huge boost ahead of their tough tie against Netherlands in their final group match. They will need to top the group if they want to progress to the semi-finals.

Quad: Great Britain 1-2 USA

Great Britain's quad team lost their second match of the Group Stages in a deciding doubles rubber against USA.

Andy Lapthorne had kept the Brits’ World Team Cup hopes of winning alive after defeating his usual doubles partner David Wagner 6-0, 6-4 following British No.2 Greg Slade's loss to  Hunter Groce 6-4, 6-2 in an hour and five minutes.

This was Lapthorne’s 77^th meeting against Wagner, marking his 26^th victory.

However, in a must win match for both teams, Lapthorne and Slade were defeated by Wagner and Groce 6-1, 6-3 to give the Americans the win.

Juniors: Great Britain 0-3 USA

Reigning champions Great Britain have lost their opening match of the 2024 World Team Cup after three strong performances from the USA.

Britain's Oliver Cox lost the opening rubber 6-0, 6-0 against Tomas Majetic, before American Charlie Cooper sealed the victory with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Ruben Harris.

In the doubles, Lucas John de Gouveia and Will Barton were defeated by Maximus Wong and Sabina Czauz 7-5, 6-1.

Men’s: Great Britain 3-0 South Africa

Ben Bartram and Alfie Hewett guaranteed Great Britain a hard-fought victory in their opening match of the World Team Cup against South Africa, before Gordon Reid and Dahnon Ward close out a whitewash win.

However, it was a tough match-up for the Brits with both Bartram and Hewett narrowly coming through in three sets.

Despite losing the second set against South Africa's Evans Maripa, Bartram put in an impressive display in the decider to win 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in two hours and 26 minutes.

In only his second career match against 23-year-old Alwande Sikhosana, Hewett had to come from behind to eventually seal the win 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(6).

Sikhosana had the chance to serve out the match at 6-5 in the decider, but Hewett rallied back to keep the defending champions on track.

Reid and Ward had little trouble in wrapping up their final doubles match - beating Maripa and Sikhosana 6-0, 6-4.

Top seeds Great Britain have also been drawn against Brazil and Japan as they look to defend their title from 2023.

Quads: Great Britain 1-2 Australia

The Lexus GB World Team Cup quad team lost their first match of this year's finals against two-time former Australia 2-1.

Despite taking the initial lead after British No.2 Greg Slade beat Finn Broadbent 6-3, 6-2 – 36-year-old Heath Davidson carried the Aussies to victory.

Facing a familiar rival in Andy Lapthorne, Davidson won 6-4, 7-6(8) in the second singles to level the scores before joining up with Broadbent to beat Lapthorne and Slade 6-4, 6-3 in the doubles decider.

Great Britain can still progress on in the competition as two teams qualify from each group, but it's likely that they will now need to defeat both Turkey and USA.
